私たちはなぜ 『動く』のでしょうか？ コロナ禍となった今、私たちの生活では学校や職場におけるリモートワークの導入により、圧倒的に『動く』ことが制限されるようになりました。
もちろん、コロナ禍であっても日常生活や自主的な運動によって『動く』ことは出来ます。
しかし本当の意味での『動く』とは、こうした日常の動きだけではなく、私たちが自分自身を見つめ、ありのままの自分を表現することなのではないでしょうか。
抑圧やストレスの多い社会生活やコロナ禍による厳しい行動制限によって私たちは身体とこころに負担がかかっています。私たちは自分自身を見つめ、ありのままの自分を表現することが難しくなっているのです。
そこで今回は、こうした本来の『動く』を体現し、現在ドイツ・ベルリンを拠点に活躍するフリーランス・ダンサーYoko Liehmが、ロンドンを拠点に活動するアーティスト・Satoshi Dáteと共に私たちが本当の意味で動き、ありのままの自分を表現する方法について語るトークセッションを開催します。
私たちが普段使う言葉の中に、身体的な動き以外にもこころが動く【”感動”（英語：Moved）】という表現が隠されていることもトークの中で語っていきます。

ルーツ・オブ・ビーイングとは
ルーツ・オブ・ビーイングとは、Satoshi Dáteにより「ありのままの自分へと正していくことで世の中全体を改善していくことができる」というコンセプトで作られたパフォーマンスアートです。
ルーツ・オブ・ビーイングの「ルーツ」とは、「創り上げる道」という意味のルーツ（Routes)、同じ発音である「自分の根元」という意味のルーツ（Roots）。「ビーイング」とは、「成る」と「人間」という意味の（Being）から成り立っています。
一時的な幸せを追うのではなく、ありのままの自分を見出し、人生そのものをより楽しくする道を参加者と共に考えていきます。

経歴
Yoko Liehm
現在、ドイツ・ベルリンを拠点に活躍するフリーランス・ダンサー、バレエ指導者、ピラティス・インストラクター。
5歳でクラシックバレエを始め、若干15歳でオーストリアのバレリーナ養成スクール『Australian Conservatorie of Ballet』へ2年間留学。その後、フランスの名門バレエスクール『L’ecole de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower』への2年の留学を経て、ドイツのプロバレエ団『Nordharzer Städtebundetheater』へ入団。

Satoshi Dáte
現在、イギリスと日本を拠点に、”愛”、”人間性”、”社会問題”をテーマに幅広い分野で創作活動を展開するアーティスト。
イギリス・ロンドンの名門芸術大学『University of the Arts London,Central Saint Martins』を卒業。その後、日本国内で『青山ヘアサロンTwiggy』、『東京妙壽寺での音楽コラボレーション』、文化庁主催の『演劇公演衣装デザイン』そして、『鳥取県での地域活性化を目指すNPOプロジェクト「未来」』等多くのプロジェクトへ参加。
また、Westminster大学、武蔵野美術大学、京都造形大、奈良女子大、名古屋学芸大、インドのファッション大学NIFTで講義・ワークショップをするなど教育へも注力。
過去に『Asia Design Prize』にてアジアの社会問題を訴える映像作品で金賞を受賞した。

Why do we “move”?
Now, we are living with COVID-19, and our life has been overwhelmingly restricted to ”move” by the introduction of remote work in schools and workplaces.
Of course, we can “move” through daily activities and voluntary exercises even during the pandemic.
However, the true meaning of "moving" goes beyond those physical movements. We believe that it includes reflecting upon ourselves and "expressing" our 'true selves.'
Our minds and bodies are under pressure due to strict movement during the covid-19 pandemic or stressful and oppressive social lives. It is now more difficult for us to 'express' our 'true selves.'
What can we do now to “move” in the true sense?
For this talk session, we are pleased to invite Yoko Liehm, a freelance dancer based in Berlin, Germany, who embodies the true meaning of ''movement''. Together with London-based artist Satoshi Dáte, they will talk about how we can truly move and 'express' our 'true selves.'
Also, there will be a discussion on a Japanese expression used in everyday life. That is 感動[Kandō](in English: Moved) which refers to a movement of our heart.

What is “Routes of Being”?
“Routes of Beings” is a performance art created by Satoshi Dáte with the concept "Making ourselves be ourselves can improve the whole social world” .
“Routes” from ”Routes of Being'' means "the way to create", and the same pronunciation''Roots“ means ''your roots". Being from ”Routes of Being'' consists of the meanings of “to be” and “'human”.
Rather than chasing temporary happiness, together with the participants, we seek who we are and how we can make life itself more enjoyable.

Yoko Liehm
Freelance dancer, ballet instructor, pilates instructor, currently based in Berlin, Germany.
Started classic ballet at 5 years old, studied abroad for 2 years in Austrian ballerina training school 『Australian Conservatoire of Ballet』at 15 years old.
After studying abroad in french prestigious ballerina training school 『L’ecole de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower』,joined German professional ballet company 『Nordharzer Städtebundetheater』.

An artist developing creative activities in a wide range of fields with the themes of "love," "humanity," and "social issues," currently based in the United Kingdom and Japan.
After graduated from the prestigious art university, the University of the Arts London,Central Saint Martins, he joined a wide range of projects in Japan such as『Aoyama hair salon Twiggy』『Music collaboration in Tokyo Myōjyujitemple』『Theater Performance Costume Design』affiliated by
agency for Cultural Affairs, and『Mirai (the NPO project for regional revitalization
in Tottori )』.
Also he engaged in education such as Westminster university, Musashino art university, Kyoto university of the arts, Nara women's university, Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, lectures and workshops at Indian fashion collage NIFT .
Won the gold medal for a film artwork that appeals to Asian social issue at『Asia Design Prize』in the past.
